Helping Others Make the Effort (HOME) is working to break the cycle of homelessness by providing housing and supportive services to homeless families. HOME offers several program options, dependent on the individual family’s need and housing urgency.
Provide assistance in long-term case plan & advocacy, homeless barriers assessment, budgeting, ID services, career source services, food pantry, hygiene items, employment assistance, interview skills, resume writing, job search, professional wear closet, employment specialist and more.
Cornerstone Hospice seeks volunteers for a variety of roles, bilingual volunteers are a plus. Volunteers may provide companionship to Cornerstone Hospice patients in their homes or in a nursing facility, honor fellow veterans, help in the office or sit vigil with a patient to ensure no one dies alone. Cornerstone Hospice volunteers enjoy flexible hours and can serve in the communities they choose. All volunteers must undergo training.
Offers free hot meals on Sunday at 2 p.m. Offers cold shelter when the temperature drops below 40 degrees. Cold shelter is between 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. and will include a free hot dinner and breakfast.
